Content Management Systems
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to do a Featured Presentation at the BNI Powerhouse Connections Chapter.
We reviewed the top Content Management Systems (CMS), for example: WordPress, Wix, Weebly, and Squarespace. And discussed each in more detail.
I am a big fan of WordPress and shared the statistics to demonstrate why WordPress is so popular. With WordPress accounts representing 34% of the overall market and 60% of the CMS Market. It is the only CMS that is portable.
There are so many options once people realize they need a website. I warned people about the misleading website advertisements that can cause you to end up with an inferior website and the importance of using a Web Designer/Web Developer for the proper organization of your website.
I also reviewed some of the classic amateur website mistakes:
- Everything is centered
- No distinct border on the photos
- Too busy or too empty (both extremes are bad)
- Poor use of space and content
- Ugly images
- Poorly organized.
If you have any questions about how to select the best option for you, I would be happy to guide you. Give me a call or send an email to Irene@PathwayWebDesigns.com.
