This week I was looking for examples of bad plumbing websites to use as a demonstration for a presentation. Sadly, very few of the plumbers I found in the area I specified, had a website listed in their Google My Business information. I was amazed! I started to think, I'd found a gold mine of businesses to contact and then help them with a new website. Then to be safe, I googled each business specifically and all but one had a website.
If I'm a busy person with a leaky toilet, I need help fast, I won't be spending the extra time to google each business specifically. You need to make it easy for people to find you.
Every website is an investment in your business, do everything you can to help people find you and your website.
Do you have a Google My Business Account?
If not, please visit https://www.google.com/business and set one up right now! Then when people are searching for you they will see a full box to the right with all your business details in their google feed. You can have your phone number, address, hours and reviews.
This is also a great way to help boast your Offsite Search Engine Optimization. I would also suggest setting up similar accounts on Yelp, Bing and any other local directories you use. This will drive more people to your website, which is the whole point of having a website to promote your business.
